About The Position

The Controller will be the financial and operational accounting lead for the Business Unit, responsible for leading, directing, coordinating, maintaining, and controlling the financial and accounting functions within the Business Unit. This position will report to the General Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • 7 years total financial accounting experience.
  • 3 years of experience in a management capacity.
  • Experience with GAAP accounting and reporting.
  • Experience with cash flow management.
  • Must be a United States Citizen, US Permanent Resident, or be otherwise authorized to work under ITAR regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cost accounting
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing customer invoicing and posting payments to customer accounts
  • Updating and maintaining records of expenditures
  • Ensuring that all payments are made in accordance with company policy
  • Closing the business unit monthly financial statements in a timely manner
  • Maintain the business unit’s financials in accordance with the TAC accounting policies
  • Prepare the business units for audits from external auditors, lenders and customers
  • Manage and coordinate audits with CPA’s, insurance companies, customers, lenders and investors
  • Serve as lead for the company’s interactions with its banking relationships, including treasury/cash management, debt capitalization/revolving line of credit, and credit reporting and compliance.
  • Manage debt covenant compliance and other lender reporting requirements
  • Lead the preparation of the materials for the monthly Business Unit Review (BUR)
  • Provide TAC with information for the quarterly and annual board presentations
  • Provide ad hoc reporting as needed
  • Prepare and file Sales & Use Tax and Personal Property Tax forms
  • File annual 1099’s
  • Prepare and/or file other misc. tax and government reporting.
  • Maintain and approve current cost accounting system at the business unit, consistent with TAC’s practices
  • Oversee payroll for the business unit in ADP Workforce Now
  • Oversee Affordable Care Act compliance and reporting for the business unit
  • Prepare the annual budget for the business unit
  • Prepare sales and profit analysis, overhead analysis and other such reports to help understand the financial performance of the business
