About The Position

As the Controller at Benson, you will oversee all aspects of financial management, including operational accounting, budgeting, and internal controls. You’ll lead the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and efficient financial operations across the organization. Your Impact: Your expertise will drive financial accuracy and transparency, enabling the Executive Leadership Team to make informed decisions that shape the company’s future. By implementing cost control measures and process improvements, you’ll help maintain profitability and operational efficiency. Requirements

In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and SharePoint.
Excellent analytical skills for interpreting financial data and trends.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
Ability to lead and develop a high-performing accounting team.
7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including management roles.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.

Nice To Haves

Experience with accounting software and ERP systems; EFI/PACE is a plus.

Responsibilities

Oversee financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory costing.
Prepare and present accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Monitor budgets, analyze variances, and implement cost control measures to maintain financial health.
Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
Lead and mentor the accounting team, conducting performance reviews and supporting professional growth.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team for strategic decision-making.
