About The Position

Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, the Controller will manage full-cycle accounting and ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial reports. The Controller plays a critical role in safeguarding company assets, optimizing accounting processes, and supporting overall business objectives.
Requirements
- CPA designation with 7-10 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledgeable about IFRS and/or US GAAP.
- Previous experience working with Sage Intacct.
- Comfortable working in a multi-entity environment with intercompany transactions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Detail-oriented and meticulous — you take pride in knowing the details and are obsessed with accuracy.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
- Can deliver results independently and while working with a team.
- Able to communicate effectively to both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and intercompany transactions.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Prepare reconciliations, reviewer-level entries, and variance analysis.
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Administer the distribution of financial packages to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure the accounting system and processes are efficient and effective in supporting financial reporting and tax preparations.
- Optimize sales tax reporting.
- Coordinate and oversee external audits and liaise with auditors to address findings.
- Perform other duties, special projects, and ad hoc assignments as reasonably required to support the Finance department and the organization's operational objectives.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to other members of the Finance team.
