About The Position

TeamLogic IT is a growing Managed Services Provider (MSP) delivering IT, cybersecurity, and help desk services to small and mid-sized businesses. In addition to supporting our direct clients, we provide Help Desk Services (HDSS) to other TeamLogic IT franchises. We are currently consolidating multiple entities into a single, scalable operation and are seeking a hands-on Controller to lead our accounting function, streamline processes, and build meaningful financial reporting that drives business decisions. The Controller will own all aspects of accounting and financial operations across the organization. This role will oversee existing bookkeeping resources, lead financial consolidation efforts, and design scalable processes across billing, reporting, and financial management. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role that is primarily onsite in our Winchester office—especially during onboarding and initial process transformation. This is not a traditional bookkeeping role. This position is responsible for building and scaling a financial operation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in a Controller or senior accounting role
  • Strong experience with QuickBooks (Online or Enterprise)
  • Experience managing AR/AP, payroll, and financial close processes
  • Proven ability to manage or oversee accounting staff
  • Advanced Excel / financial analysis skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a Managed Services Provider (MSP), SaaS, or recurring revenue business
  • Familiarity with PSA tools (e.g., Autotask) and/or third-party billing platforms
  • Experience with multi-entity accounting and financial consolidation
  • Understanding of service-based KPIs (utilization, realization, effective hourly rate)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting functions including AR, AP, payroll, and general ledger
  • Manage and mentor existing bookkeeping resources; evaluate and right-size team structure
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes
  • Maintain and optimize chart of accounts and financial structure
  • Own billing workflows across QuickBooks and Alternative Payment Solutions (APS)
  • Ensure accuracy of recurring (MSP), project, and product billing
  • Identify and eliminate revenue leakage and billing inconsistencies
  • Align billing processes with service delivery and contracts
  • Produce monthly financial statements and executive reporting packages
  • Develop and maintain: Profitability reporting by client and service line, Technician utilization and efficiency metrics, Revenue segmentation (MRR vs. project vs. product)
  • Support franchise reporting requirements and KPI dashboards
  • Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to leadership
  • Assist in pricing strategy, margin improvement, and cost control
  • Support operational decision-making with data-driven analysis
  • Lead financial consolidation of multiple entities into a unified structure
  • Standardize accounting processes, policies, and reporting across the organization
  • Document workflows and build a scalable financial operating framework
