About The Position

Dunlop Manufacturing, Inc., a long-standing manufacturer for the Music Industry located in Benicia, is looking for a Financial Controller to join their team. This is a hands-on position within a privately held family corporation. The experienced controller will oversee an accounting staff of five and will be responsible for all accounting and reporting, decision support analysis, cash management, budgeting and forecasting. The ideal candidate must be a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst, responsible for creating and maintaining budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting processes, along with internal control and reporting systems. The role also involves overseeing and monitoring the cost accounting system, providing recommendations and guidance to management, and helping improve operational efficiency and aid in continued growth. The Financial Controller is a key leader within the finance team, ensuring the financial health and stability of the organization while contributing to its strategic direction.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
5-10 years experience as a controller in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Proficiency in financial software and tools.
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to think strategically and contribute to long-term financial planning.
Understanding of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.
Manufacturing Experience required.

Responsibilities

Manage daily accounting operations
Prepare Monthly Financial Statements, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flows, Management Recommendations and Forecasts.
Advise Management of Recommendations and Financial Analysis
Implement Procedures and internal controls as the company grows.
Provide Strategic Planning
Financial Reporting and Analysis: Preparing and presenting financial statements, reports, and analysis.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
Cash Flow Management: Monitoring and managing cash flow, including accounts receivable and payable.
Payroll: Responsible for completing the Salary Payroll process.
Team Leadership: Leading and mentoring a team of finance professionals.
