About The Position

NOW CFO is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller Consultant to join our Atlanta team. This is a director-level consulting role supporting a variety of clients across multiple industries. The Controller Consultant will be responsible for providing financial expertise and guidance to businesses. They work with companies to develop and implement financial strategies, improve financial performance, and manage financial risks. We value candidates with a strong background in financial management and certifications. The ideal candidate should excel in high-level accounting, managerial accounting, and finance activities, including overseeing financial reporting and payroll duties. To be successful in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and experience with risk management. Ultimately, youll make sure we comply with accounting regulations, maximize profits and mitigate risks.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Controller-level experience (consulting/multi-industry experience is a plus)
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Experience with various ERP systems
Advanced Excel skills
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
Adaptable, flexible, and comfortable in changing environments

Responsibilities

Lead and implement financial strategies across client engagements
Oversee financial reporting, close processes, and compliance with GAAP
Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and decision support
Identify risks and implement controls to mitigate them
Improve processes, systems, and overall financial performance
Partner with leadership teams to provide guidance on financial matters
Step into various environments and quickly add value (clean-up, build-out, optimization)
