About The Position

The Controller is responsible for supporting and maintaining the financial wellness and integrity of the organization. The role supervises individuals in the accounting department, prepares and analyzes financial statements, including consolidation, and oversees all aspects of accounting and finance in the U.S. The Controller is also a member of the leadership team and is based at the U.S. Corporate Headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or finance.
• At least 5 years of job-related accounting experience with an international company.
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP or IFRS.
• Strong experience with Excel.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines and shift priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to ensure processes and financial decisions are managed ethically and in compliance with company policies.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working for a capital equipment company or service company.
• CPA certification.
• Previous SOX experience.
• Power BI experience.
• Sage experience.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Fastems finance, auditors, accounting, and tax partners.
• Ensure compliance for all accounting processes in close cooperation with the Group Finance Team overseas.
• Manage cash flow and projections.
• Assist in establishing new accounting procedures and enforcing existing procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Prepare and review the tertiary financial package, tertiary review, and annual audit schedules; assist in preparing consolidated financial statements and related footnote disclosures.
• Approve journal entries, adjustments, and corrections up to authorized limits.
• Exercise signature authority for check disbursements and authorize wire transfers.
• Identify and implement continuous improvements to accounting processes.
