About The Position

Niyam provides IT solutions to improve system efficiency while optimizing the value that we deliver to our customers. Niyam is seeking a full time Controller to join our team. This position is hybrid to Leesburg, VA. The Controller will perform the overall accounting and payroll functions, and participate in the development of policies and procedures, preparation of financial reports and summaries, and creation of forecasts predicting future growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, or Finance
• Five to eight years of experience in financial management for a government contractor
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be local to Leesburg, VA area or Fairfax, VA area

Responsibilities

• Maintain schedule and utilization of PTO and company observed holidays
• Track timesheets against Customer service codes
• Process and pay vendor and contractor invoices
• Process employee payroll
• Process monthly Customer billing
• Provide general ledger reconciliation
• Provide bank account reconciliation
• Provide credit card and expense processing
• Prepare analytical reports
• Maintain and edit existing policies and procedures
• Assist in the development of new policies and procedures
• Advisor and Strategic partner to CFO
