About The Position
Maintains all accounting operations, ensuring GAAP compliance, accurate financial reporting, and strict internal controls for lending activities. Oversees month-end closing, manages cash flow, monitors mortgage origination/hedging, leads audits, and provides strategic forecasting for executive team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience in mortgage banking accounting.
- Proficiency with LoanVision accounting software and advanced Excel.
- Understanding of mortgage loan lifecycles and Dodd-Frank/regulatory requirements.

- CPA is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of accounting operations, transactions related to general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Perform monthly closing, ensuring accuracy of balance sheets and income statements.
- Analyze budget vs actual month over month variances.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
- Coordinate and prepare tax schedules, returns and information.
- Manage cash flow
- Monitor origination, pipeline hedging, and warehouse lending activity to ensure proper accounting.
- Develop controls, manage tax compliance, and ensure adherence to mortgage regulations.
- Oversee loan funding accounts and cash flow forecasting.
- Other finance and administrative duties as required
