Learn more at www.aquatech.com Aquatech has an immediate opening for a full-time Controller, to join our team. This person will work out of our Albany Or office location. The hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This position will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered an Exempt employee. This role will have regular engagement with Aquatech’s private equity sponsors, Board of Managers, and Audit Committee as we execute against our multifaceted growth strategy across end markets, geographies, product lines, and business models. This role will also have full leadership accountability for Aquatech’s global accounting organization, including general accounting, consolidations, project accounting, and internal controls.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Extensive experience with U.S. GAAP, ASC 606, and project-based revenue recognition (percentage-of-completion).
  • Proven ability to manage global consolidation and external audit processes across multiple legal entities and international regions
  • Strong working knowledge and experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP)
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing global teams across time zones and cultures.
  • Experience in capital project- or engineering-driven businesses with international operations
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Required
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Required.
  • Ten or more years of progressive accounting and controllership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a multinational organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. Preferred.
  • Big 4 public accounting experience, experience supporting operations in India, Singapore, the UAE, and other global markets, or Prior experience with ERP system transformation or finance systems integration preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare quarterly, and annual financial statements, such as balance sheets and income statements, following GAAP standards.
  • Analyze financial data and prepare reports for senior management
  • Identify and communicate economic trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenue and expenses
  • Manage all aspects of the organization’s accounting processes, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Responsible for all A/R, A/P, Payroll, banking, purchasing transactions.
  • Oversee payroll process to ensure data accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with overall organization policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain internal control systems to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve financial operations' overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Guide complex transactions, including review of contracts before execution
  • Evaluate the financial impact of business initiatives and investments and contribute to long-term financial planning and growth strategies.
