About The Position

The Controller is responsible for the financial operations of the company to include accounting transactional activities as well as financial analysis and reporting in accordance with IFRS to support strategic and operational management decision making.

Requirements

  • Five (5) to ten plus (10+) years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (MBA/CPA a plus)
  • Understanding of the basic FDA cGMP regulations
  • Excellent computer skills absolutely required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with all levels of employees
  • Strong computer skills including advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Able to work as part of a team to ensure all company standards are met
  • May be required to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to use computer related equipment with accuracy and efficiency
  • Must be able to travel throughout the facility to obtain information needed to perform job functions

  • Experience with SAP a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage financial operations and reporting relationship with parent company
  • Prepare monthly financial statements to include income statement, balance sheet and cash flow
  • Prepare required monthly financial metric reports analyzing the operating performance vs. the budget and prior periods
  • Manage the annual budgeting process
  • Coordinate and manage annual financial audit, annual 401K plan audit, and annual tax return preparation and filing
  • Oversee accounts receivables collections process to ensure outstanding balances are collected in accordance with agreed upon payment terms
  • Oversee accounts payable ensure timely payments per vendor terms
  • Review and ensure that bank statements, balance sheet and expense accounts are accurately stated and reconciled in accordance with monthly closing schedule
  • Oversee and review the bi-weekly payroll processing via outside service to ensure accurate and timely processing
  • Manage cash activity and oversee the required management reporting
  • Maintain banking relationships including required compliance reporting
  • Support SAP implementation
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Conduct business in a responsible manner that complies with all state, FDA, OSHA and cGMP regulations, or otherwise as applicable
  • Oversee and manage of all aspects of the operations and staff for the Finance Department
  • Provide leadership in daily financial operations, and have employees incorporate compliance practices into their daily routines
