Controller Full-Time 5+ Years' Accounting Experience Required Must reside in Oklahoma Role: To supervise the daily operations of the Accounting Department; ensure complete, accurate, and timely completion of financial and accounting records for the Credit Union. Attendance is an essential function of performing the duties of this job.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the activities of the Accounting Department.
  • Responsible for financial and accounting records of the credit union.
  • Assists staff with problems and acquires resources needed to ensure completion of all assigned departmental responsibilities.
  • Responsible for the completion of month-end closing, preparation of financials, preparation of month-end reporting including ALM materials, quarterly Call Report, and quarterly interest rate risk information.
  • Trains, directs, and evaluates employee performance for assigned staff within the department; participates in hiring new employees and recommends promotions/transfers and salary adjustments.
  • Works with auditors/examiners on year-end and comprehensive audits.
  • Oversees the liquidity status of the credit union and reports relevant trends to senior leadership.
  • Works in partnership with the CFO to develop and review Asset Liability Management strategies, including the assessment of investment opportunities.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
