This key position is responsible for handling daily accounting tasks, financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and financial analysis. As our sole accounting professional, this role ensures the company's financial integrity and supports decision-making by providing accurate, timely, and relevant financial information. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience with small business experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.
  • Excellent math skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, monthly financial statements, and annual audits.
  • Oversee and manage all general ledger activity, including month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure the detailed and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, and payroll processing.
  • Process and record all incoming payments.
  • Monitor balances exceeding 60 days and reach out to customers to ensure timely collection.
  • Qualify, establish, and monitor customer credit terms.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, including bank reconciliations, banking relationships, and handling payments.
  • Prepare the information and reports required for the CPA to file the required tax returns.
  • Foster relationships with external vendors, such as banks, CPAs, and auditors.
  • Establish and monitor internal controls to ensure the accuracy of financial data and protect company assets.
  • Manage the company's 401(k) retirement plan, including submitting weekly contributions, calculating matching contributions, assisting employees with enrollments, changes, and distributions, and coordinating the annual year-end testing process.
  • Oversee and coordinate Accounts Receivable and Billing Processes.
  • Conduct a monthly review of unbilled activity to ensure all shipped products are billed promptly.
  • Investigate billing delays and collaborate with the team to resolve issues and ensure timely invoices.
  • Assist with Inventory Valuation and cost of goods calculations.
