About The Position

As a key member of the Finance organization, our Controller will build, lead, manage, and scale the Company's core accounting function, including technical accounting, compliance, tax, and financial reporting. This individual will report to the Vice President of Finance and will collaborate closely with the Sales, Customer Success, RevOps, and executive leadership. This individual will be responsible for the Company's financial processes, including implementing and maintaining an appropriate control environment, establishing accounting policies, ownership of core systems, and designing and executing process improvements. You'll also play a pivotal role in supporting the Finance Team to scale its workflows and implement best-in-class processes as we strive to keep pace with the company’s continued, fast-paced growth. Requirements

  • 8+ years of public accounting experience mixed with industry experience, preferably as a Controller or Sr. Accounting Manager within the SaaS or Technology sector
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606 revenue recognition standards, and internal controls
  • Tax Compliance, you will help think through tax issues and structure the organization to ensure tax compliance
  • Proven track record of being a top contributor and developing high-performing accounting teams
  • Experience with ERP and accounting systems
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing - you have the ability to break down complex accounting issues and articulate points clearly to management
  • A positive, forward-thinking mindset, hands-on approach, able to collaborate with different teams and leaders throughout the organization

Responsibilities

  • Own the financial close process and all associated processes and reporting to deliver accurate and timely results to the organization
  • Lead the development of accounting policies and the appropriate application of those policies to the Company's business activities
  • Planning, directing, and primary ownership of all accounting operational functions (close process, AR, AP, payroll, revenue recognition, sales tax)
  • Oversee and implement financial-related systems with a focus towards improvement of processes, continued automations, and the application of new technologies
  • Assist in the year-end audit and own relationships and communication with external service providers, including audit and tax professionals
