About The Position

DIME Beauty's mission is to create luxurious skincare and beauty products that are clean, effective, and affordable, aiming for customers to feel confident and embrace their skin in all its unique and beautiful stages. The company is seeking a Controller to lead its accounting function and support strategic growth alongside the VP of Finance. This is a hybrid role based out of their Draper, Utah headquarters, offering the opportunity to take ownership of the accounting function, partner closely with leadership, and play a key role in a scaling business. This is a hands-on role with significant ownership of day-to-day accounting operations and the close process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5–8+ years of experience
  • Strong understanding of financial close process and GAAP fundamentals

Nice To Haves

  • CPA preferred
  • Mix of public accounting + industry preferred
  • Experience in CPG, eCommerce, or inventory-based business preferred
  • Experience owning month-end close process preferred
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring junior team members preferred
  • Proficiency in Quickbooks Online strongly preferred
  • Experience with NetSuite or prior experience with an ERP implementation is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
  • Ensure timely, accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Maintain and enforce accounting policies and procedures
  • Assist with ad hoc projects
  • Lead annual audit process and manage auditors alongside VP of Finance
  • Oversee tax compliance (sales tax, income tax, 1099s) with external firm
  • Maintain strong internal controls and readiness for scale
  • Own inventory accounting, including obsolescence and reserves
  • Ensure accurate COGS and gross margin reporting
  • Oversee cash management, AR/AP, and working capital optimization
  • Monitor cash conversion cycle (inventory + receivables vs payables)
  • Own and maintain cash forecast
  • Manage and develop team of two
  • Maintain accountability, structure, and strong execution culture
  • Act as a business partner and work closely with Operations, Marketing, and Sales / Retail teams
