About The Position
We are seeking a Controller, Project & Development Accounting to play a critical leadership role at the center of our development and construction operations. This position offers the opportunity to shape how financial performance is managed across a growing portfolio of projects, bringing clarity, discipline, and insight to complex, high-value work. As a key partner to Development, Construction, and Finance, you will lead a high-performing team and influence how projects are executed from a financial perspective — ensuring strong controls, reliable reporting, and informed decision-making across the business.
Requirements
- CPA designation
- 8–12 years of experience in project accounting, construction accounting, or development finance
- Strong understanding of job cost accounting, billing, and construction finance
- Experience leading and developing accounting teams
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
- Strong systems and financial reporting capability
Responsibilities
- Leading project accounting across multiple active development and construction projects
- Overseeing job cost reporting, billing processes, and financial controls
- Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards
- Supporting project financing, lender reporting, and draw processes
- Managing partner and joint venture reporting requirements
- Driving audit readiness and maintaining strong documentation practices
- Leading and developing a high-performing accounting team
- Strengthening processes, improving efficiency, and monitoring financial risk
