About The Position

We’re seeking a talented Controller - Operations Finance Manager to join our team specializing in Finance for our York, SC Cummins location. In this role, you will make an impact by driving strategic business decisions, providing financial insights, leading accurate forecasting and planning, building strong business partnerships, ensuring financial integrity and compliance, communicating complex information effectively, driving accountability and execution, and developing inclusive and adaptable relationships.

Requirements

• College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
• Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification required.
• Significant experience required, including managerial and budgetary experience in a small operations manufacturing or distribution center environment.
• Responsible for the maintaining a strong control environment at York, SC and Manning, SC manufacturing sites
• Partners with plant leadership to ensure goals and strategic objectives are met
• Partners with NA Accounting team on closing the books and balance sheet reviews
• Supports CDBS strategic initiatives with financial data and analysis as requested
• Responsible for coaching and developing 4 direct reports

Responsibilities

• Lead Plant Financial Performance: Serve as the finance leader for the York, SC and Manning, SC manufacturing sites, providing financial guidance and insights that support operational and business objectives.
• Build Strong Partnerships and Influence Decisions: Collaborate closely with plant leadership and the North America Accounting team to achieve strategic goals, support month-end close activities, and ensure sound financial decision-making.
• Maintain Financial Controls and Compliance: Establish and sustain a strong control environment by ensuring accurate financial reporting, conducting balance sheet reviews, and driving accountability across both sites.
• Develop Talent and Support Growth: Coach and develop a team of four direct reports while providing financial analysis and support for Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems strategic initiatives that drive business performance and continuous improvement.
