The Controller Integration Engineer will investigate and solve software and control system problems encountered in products. This role involves troubleshooting HIL, vehicle system bench, and vehicle integration issues using system engineering knowledge to isolate causes, establish root cause, and develop potential solutions. These solutions may involve hardware, software, calibration, wiring, or electrical architecture. The position is part of a group responsible for vehicle embedded control system engineering, focusing on troubleshooting engine, transmission, hybrid, electrification, chassis, and intelligent brake control system issues throughout all life cycle stages on a wide range of GM vehicles. The engineer will collaborate closely with internal development teams (manufacturing, controls development, software, calibration, testing) and other cross-functional teams to address and resolve issues. Invention of more efficient ways to collect and analyze data is encouraged. This role requires creativity and teamwork, as there is little standard work, with the goal of ensuring GM programs and launches are On-Time and have high Quality.
