At Tyson Foods, the Controller I in the Prepared Foods Division will be responsible for the financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions of the plant-manufacturing unit. This individual will manage the plant accounting staff performing local accounting functions including production accounting and payroll. The role also involves preparing weekly forecasts of plant operating variances, setting policies, establishing guidelines, and leading the budgeting process. A strong understanding of and collaboration with plant operations on continuous improvement activities to improve the total cost of operations is also a key aspect of this role.
