About The Position

Industrial Valve Sales and Service is seeking a Control Valve Technician in Mobile, Alabama. The position involves shop and field work repairing control valves. The technician performs mechanical work, supports and mentors Control Valve Technicians, operates shop equipment, and helps maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. Field assignments may be required, including climbing and working at elevations depending on the job scope.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Five or more years of control valve industrial experience.
• Ability to read measuring and scaling devices.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to climb and work at various elevations depending on job scope.
• Ability to document and enter job data.
• Safety awareness in an industrial workplace.

Nice To Haves

• Current Basic OSHA Safety Training.
• Job-specific degree and/or certification.
• Current or up-to-date TWIC.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and quality procedures.
• Read measuring and scaling devices.
• Clean, blast, and paint valve components.
• Support and mentor Control Valve Technicians.
• Operate equipment such as an overhead hoist, blaster, parts washer, and torch.
• Perform mechanical work.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Maintain equipment in the work area as required.
• Help with field assignments when required.
• Climb and work at various elevations depending on job scope.
• Operate a motor vehicle.
• Apply safety awareness in the industrial workplace.
• Document and enter job data.
