About The Position

As a Control Systems Verification Project Lead, you will be leading a team of verification engineers through all aspects of the verification portion of the system engineering lifecycle and deliver control system verification evidence to airworthiness authorities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to travel up to 20% between Rolls-Royce sites and up to 10% other travel. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with 5+ years of product development engineering experience, OR Master’s degree in in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering and 4+ years of engineering experience, OR PhD in degree in in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ARP4754A, MIL-HDBK-516C, and related industry standards and guidelines is required.
  • Project management and engineering experience, with a focus on delivery of key engineering & schedule milestones while balancing budget constraints and risk tolerance.
  • Systems verification experience
  • Gas turbine engine controls experience

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing verification strategies and plans
  • Leading a team through the verification process (incl. allocation, coverage, case & procedure development, script development, test execution, results analysis and reporting)
  • Communicating a clear view of all verification activities and technical risks to stakeholders
  • Leading investigations of non-conformities to ensure quality standards are maintained
