About The Position

CoolIT Systems, an Ecolab Company, is a leading Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) technology provider for data centers, supercomputers, and desktop computers. Recognized for rapid growth and innovation, CoolIT is seeking a Control Systems Engineer III to lead the design, development, and optimization of control systems for their DLC products. This senior-level role involves managing complex projects, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring seamless integration of control systems with mechanical and software components in a dynamic and expanding market for high-performance computing and cloud solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in control systems engineering, with a focus on system design, integration, and optimization.
  • Proficiency in designing and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Extensive experience with PLC hardware and software from leading manufacturers (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Unitronics).
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in PLC systems (e.g., Ladder Logic, Structured Text).
  • Experience in integrating control systems with mechanical and software components.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation or similar professional credentials.
  • Proficiency in developing P&IDs using AutoCAD Revit.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations relevant to industrial automation.
  • Experience with Altium for developing electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Revit for developing P&IDs.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team of engineers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex engineering challenges.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to oversee multiple projects concurrently.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and technological advancements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Control System Design: Spearhead the design and development of advanced control systems for DLC products, ensuring alignment with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Project Management: Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.
  • System Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems with mechanical and software components, ensuring seamless operation.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all control system designs and implementations are thoroughly documented and comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for system optimization and implement improvements to enhance performance and reliability.
