Requirements
- Strong desire to learn and grow in a state-of-the-art, fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
- Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
- Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume, and rate.
- Able to apply concepts of high school math.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Working knowledge of equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation.
- Working knowledge of product layouts and production specifications
- Working knowledge of product quality specifications
- Working knowledge of quality standards
Responsibilities
- Must follow all safety rules.
- Learn to read corrugator lineups.
- Constantly monitor board quality.
- Communicates any quality issues with the crew.
- Makes corrections for any board defects.
- Communicates all machine issues to supervisor.
- Keeps Machine organized and clean.
- Maximizing the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
- Adheres to the daily production schedule.
- Makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality, delivery and service goals.
- Assist all operators as instructed by supervision.
- Read related MSDS and learn proper response for emergency chemical spills or skin contact.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
- Additional duties may be assigned by management.
