About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Control Room Leader with 2–3 years of control room or production supervision experience in the cement industry. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of kiln, grinding, and material handling operations and is capable of operating the control board when needed. This individual will be a safety-focused leader who can effectively guide and train team members, monitor production processes, troubleshoot operational issues, and take appropriate action during abnormal or emergency conditions. Candidates must be comfortable working 12-hour rotating shifts.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of control room or production supervision experience in the cement industry.
  • Strong understanding of kiln, grinding, and material handling operations.
  • Capable of operating the control board when needed.

  • Must be able to run the board in the event a Control Room Operator is absent.
  • Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates activities of workers engaged in the monitoring of the control panel, which includes making necessary adjustments to the kilns raw and finish grinding, and the material handling systems.
  • Supports the Production Manager in all aspects of operations.
  • Takes appropriate action under abnormal and emergency conditions.
  • Maintains continuous surveillance of the kiln and mill processes during the assigned shift.
  • Maintains liaison with quality control to ensure uniform processing.
  • Conducts safety inspections of the department and maintains good housekeeping.
  • Conducts Continuous Improvement and Safety Meetings with departmental employees on a regular basis.
  • Keeps accurate, neat, timely records of equipment and process as directed.
  • Performs maintenance and minor repairs within capabilities to maintain continuous operation and assists in the field as needed.
  • Determines the need for assistance from the service departments (electrical, maintenance, mobile equipment, etc.) and requests appropriate personnel through the Team Leader.
  • Provides on-the-job training to team members.
  • Performs clean-up and housekeeping functions as assigned.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.
