About The Position

Nor-Cal Controls provides controls solutions for utility-scale renewable energy power plants, and we are looking for a Control Panel Technician to join our stellar team! As a Control Panel Technician, you will be performing specialized assembly of low voltage industrial control panels. This role also serves as the first step in a career path that leads directly to advanced roles in our Engineering department! This is a full-time, onsite opportunity with a starting salary of $21 hourly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and one (1) year fabrication/assembling experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
• Demonstrated computer skills.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Skilled in reading and following blueprints and assembly instructions.
• Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.

Nice To Haves

• AS degrees in mechatronics, computer science, or electrical engineering highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Become proficient at wiring and assembly of control panels
• Operate equipment such as hand tools and diagnostic hardware
• Layout of components, mounting and wiring of components per schematic
• Mounting of back-panel in cabinet while maintaining good housekeeping practices
• Perform quality checks and Factory Acceptance Testing of the control panels
