Under direct supervision, the Service Technician repairs, services, and builds standard and custom systems for hydraulic, fluid power, electrical, and mechanical systems. This role involves disassembling, cleaning, and inspecting system components for repair, diagnosing system components and recommending solutions, and preparing job forms listing necessary parts and labor. The technician will also design, fabricate, machine, and weld parts and components, repair hydraulic, fluid power, electrical, and mechanical systems, and assemble new and repaired equipment. Testing repaired equipment for performance and preparing it for shipment or storage is also a key responsibility. Additionally, the role requires assisting customers with technical questions, potentially providing quotes or taking orders, and performing maintenance on assigned customer products that come through the service shop.
