About The Position
Wilo USA LLC is a subsidiary of Wilo SE, headquartered in Dortmund, Germany. Wilo is a leading manufacturer of pumps & pump systems. Wilo USA has acquired several companies, including Weil Pump, Scot Pump, American-Marsh Pumps, Quantum Flo, HydroServ, and Plad. Quantum Flo, founded in 2007, operates from a 30,000 sq ft facility in Sanford, Florida. The facility includes a UL508A industrial custom control panel facility and a large production shop where systems are assembled and flow tested. Quantum Flo is known for its innovation in packaged pump systems. The Electrical Control Panel Builder / Wirer will work independently, under the direction of the lead, to build and/or wire control panels according to schematics. This role involves reading and following technical drawings, fabricating parts using hand tools, positioning and aligning components, conferring with leads and engineers, explaining procedures, drilling and tapping holes, and working safely.
Requirements
- High School Diploma - or the equivalent (for example, GED)
- Previous experience in electrical wiring assembly preferred.
- Previous experience using power hand tools.
Responsibilities
- Build and/or wire control panels according to schematics.
- Read and follow schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and bill of materials to determine materials requirements and to build, assembly and wire the panel.
- Fabricate or form parts using hand tools such as, wire cutters and crimpers, voltage testing, saws, drills, calipers, among others.
- Position, align, or adjust workpieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly.
- Confer with lead, supervisors or engineers to plan or review work activities or to resolve production problems.
- Explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers.
- Drill or tap holes in specified equipment locations to mount control units or to provide openings for elements, wiring, or instruments.
