About The Position

Operates the organization's 24-hour pipeline system surveillance and flow control. Oversees pipeline operations planning function that includes outage coordination, capacity determination, volume planning and input into operating strategies. Operates the control room to ensure optimal use of the organization's transmission system. Responsibilities

  • Operates the organization's 24-hour pipeline system surveillance and flow control
  • Oversees pipeline operations planning function that includes outage coordination, capacity determination, volume planning and input into operating strategies
  • Operates the control room to ensure optimal use of the organization's transmission system
  • Analyzes specifications and controls continuous operation of processing units to produce products, such as gasoline, kerosene, and fuel and lubricating oils
  • Reads processing schedules, operating logs, and laboratory recommendations to determine changes in equipment controls required to produce specified quantity and quality of product
  • Reports on any process or flow variances
  • Monitors process via console readings by reviewing all the different pipelines to ensure product is flowing without issue, Monitors for errors or alarms
  • May control activities of several processing units operated simultaneously
  • Continue to improve on skills and knowledge to move up level(s) within the role
  • Must successfully complete refresher training as required
