Airgas Merchant Gases (AMG) is responsible for operating primary production facilities in the United States, with over 60 production locations across 29 states. The AMG fleet includes Air Separation (ASU), High Purity Nitrogen (HPN), High Purity Oxygen (HPX), Vacuum Swing Adsorption (VSA), and Liquid Carbon Dioxide (CO2) production units. AMG is undergoing a transformation to utilize big data and automation for improved reliability and efficiency in primary production operations, including the deployment of predictive analytics tools and remote operations. The ROCC Control Board Operator will remotely operate and control equipment for air separation, high pressure nitrogen and oxygen, and vacuum swing absorption across multiple U.S. sites from a central location. This role is also accountable for troubleshooting plant mechanical, instrumentation, and equipment issues, collaborating with engineering personnel to assist field technicians in identifying and correcting plant problems and inefficiencies. Periodically, the position will provide on-site field support for maintenance outages, startups, training, and coverage for onsite production technicians.
