About The Position

The Contracts Specialist helps prepare, review, and standardize routine lower-level contracts and related documents and help plan and implement policies and procedures related to contract administration. This position will be responsible for preparing, reviewing and administering subcontracts and other downstream agreements. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn. Autonomy & Decision-Making: Follows directions and refers all exceptions to supervisor.   • 2+ years contract management experience (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (Preferred)
  • Construction industry experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and administers routine downstream contracts and related documents to ensure completeness and compliance.
  • Reviews Certificates of Insurance (COI) for compliance and resolves third-party compliance review discrepancies.
  • Coordinates with Project Coordinators, Project Managers and others to confirm and monitor subcontractor and supplier compliance.
  • Assists in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures related to contract administration.
  • Assists counsel in resolution of subcontractor and supplier compliance issues, including insurance compliance issues.
  • Assists in the development of project-specific subcontract templates and other project specific legal forms for review and approval by counsel.
  • Maintains and administers downstream agreement riders for select subcontractors and suppliers as needed.
  • Assists with training as needed and assigned.
  • Assists counsel with discovery and document collection efforts as needed.
  • Possesses strong understanding of writing (i.e grammar, syntax, diction etc.).
  • Communicates with internal and external teams promptly and effectively.
