About The Position

Antithesis is seeking a Contracts Review Attorney to support the company as it scales. The role owns day-to-day contract review and negotiation across a broad range of commercial matters, helping internal teams close business efficiently while managing legal and operational risk. It involves partnering with cross-functional stakeholders, translating legal issues into clear business guidance, and improving the systems and processes that support contract review at scale. The attorney will review, draft, and negotiate commercial and operational agreements; advise internal teams on risks, approvals, and contracting practices; and help develop templates, playbooks, and workflows. The position is fully onsite in Vienna, Virginia.

Requirements

  • J.D. and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Meaningful experience reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, either in-house or at a law firm with strong commercial exposure.
  • Strong judgment about risk, materiality, and when to escalate.
  • Ability to explain legal issues in plain English to non-lawyers.
  • Excellent drafting, issue-spotting, and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organized working style and ability to manage multiple matters at once.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift quickly.
  • Service-oriented mindset and a bias toward solving problems, not just identifying them.

Nice To Haves

  • Enjoys building structure where there is ambiguity.
  • Values helping teams move quickly without cutting corners.
  • Comfortable both redlining agreements and improving the processes behind them.
  • Able to be precise without being rigid.
  • Strong instinct for distinguishing routine contract issues from strategic issues and those requiring escalation.

Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements, including NDAs, vendor agreements, procurement terms, customer-facing agreements, and other operational contracts.
  • Partner with go-to-market, finance, people, operations, and leadership teams to provide clear, actionable legal guidance during contract review.
  • Identify legal, business, and operational risks in proposed agreements and recommend practical paths forward.
  • Maintain and improve contract templates, fallback language, playbooks, and internal review processes.
  • Support contract intake and triage so requests are routed appropriately and handled efficiently.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on approval requirements, escalation points, and contracting best practices.
  • Track recurring negotiation issues and help turn them into improved standards, tools, and workflows.
  • Contribute to building a trusted, responsive, and business-minded legal function.
