Our dynamic team of acquisition professionals underpins critical business areas and strategic initiatives across Mission IT, Enterprise IT, Engineering Services, and Professional Services SAIC's Business Management organization is seeking an experienced and highly adaptable Contracts and Subcontracts leader to support its Navy Business Group (BG). This position will support bid strategy and contract execution across the customer base, focusing on initiatives that drive growth for the organization. The successful candidate will act as a strategic partner within the business group and across the enterprise, leading the business group's team of contracts and subcontracts professionals fostering a culture of teamwork, continuous process improvement, and performance excellence. This position is located in San Diego, CA. Candidates must be able to go into the office 3 days a week. Position Description: The manager will be responsible for overseeing the C5ISR & Training Solutions Market in the Navy BG. The manager will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight and guidance of the contracts and subcontracts staff assigned to the market. The manger will be self-motivated with the ability to influence and guide the team through contractual, legal and complex issues while possessing the following skillset: Client facing and have key role in building trusted relationships with client counterparts, represents organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects. Ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously Ability to effectively influence, negotiate, and communicate with internal and external business partners/customers and interact with senior leadership of the Business Unit Ability to resolve highly complex issues, develop negotiating strategies and provide creative solutions Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills Periodic travel to support to other SAIC and customer locations. The manager will report directly to the Navy BG Contracts & Procurement VP and will be responsible for escalating issues and concerns and will be responsible for some scaled workload.
