About The Position

Outpost Technologies is seeking a Contracts Manager to lead the full lifecycle of government and commercial contracts supporting defense, aerospace, and manufacturing programs. This role is responsible for contract strategy, negotiation, and administration across DoD, NASA, and commercial agreements, including non-traditional acquisition vehicles. The Contracts Manager will partner with program management, business development, finance, and leadership to ensure compliance, manage risk, and support successful contract execution. Compensation for this position will be based on experience, education, certifications, and alignment with internal compensation structures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in government contracting
  • Working knowledge of FAR and DFARS
  • Experience with multiple contract types, including FFP, CPFF, T&M, and IDIQ
  • Experience supporting contract negotiations and administration
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree or NCMA certification (CFCM, CPCM, or CCCM)
  • Active DoD security clearance
  • Experience with DoD or NASA contracts
  • Familiarity with DCAA and DCMA requirements
  • Experience with non-traditional acquisition methods
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of export compliance (ITAR/EAR)
  • Experience in a small business government contractor environment

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full contract lifecycle, including proposal support, negotiation, award, administration, modifications, and closeout
  • Review, draft, and negotiate prime contracts, subcontracts, teaming agreements, NDAs, and related agreements
  • Interpret and apply FAR, DFARS, and applicable agency supplements across multiple contract types (FFP, CPFF, T&M, IDIQ, OTA, SBIR/STTR)
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for contractual matters with contracting officers, government representatives, and industry partners
  • Lead subcontract administration, including flowdowns, supplier agreements, and compliance requirements
  • Track contract funding, modifications, deliverables, and key obligations
  • Identify and communicate contractual, financial, and performance risks, and support resolution efforts
  • Support proposal development, including review of solicitations, terms and conditions, and representations and certifications
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure contract requirements are understood and executed
  • Maintain contract documentation and records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
