About The Position

This role involves performing contracts management functions across the entire lifecycle of providing supplies and services, from capture through proposal, contract award, and all phases of contract administration for the Acoustics Sensors and Weapons (ASW) submarket segment. The position requires providing business advice and guidance, and coordinating with various functions such as program management, finance, legal, subcontracts, business development, engineering, human resources, accounting, and compliance. Key responsibilities include managing contract solicitations, capture, negotiations, and ensuring fulfillment of contractual obligations. The role serves as an authorized representative for the Company, acting as an interface with Customer buying representatives to build effective relationships and manage contracts in support of business goals. This includes coordinating solutions to contractual issues and customer concerns, ensuring contractual compliance with all laws and regulations, and adhering to delegation of authority and approval requirements for proposals and contractual actions. The position may also involve leading and supporting audits, ensuring final contract documents align with negotiated agreements, and potentially training others on contract practices. Additionally, the role requires collecting contractual data and compiling reports for corporate and business area requests.

Requirements

  • Contracts experience working DoD Contracts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point)
  • Proven experience proposing, negotiating, administering and closing a variety of fixed price type (FFP, FPIF) and/or cost type (CPFF, CPIF) DoD contracts
  • Sound working knowledge of the FAR, DFARS, and other government acquisition regulations
  • Proven ability to manage routine and unique problems/issues to help develop solutions for multi-million-dollar complex contracts
  • Ability to obtain a DOD security clearance
  • Must be willing to travel

Responsibilities

  • Perform contracts management functions across the spectrum of actions associated with providing supplies and services, from capture through proposal, contract award, and all phases of contract administration for the Acoustics Sensors and Weapons (ASW) submarket segment.
  • Provide business advice and guidance to and coordinate with other functions including program management, finance, legal, subcontracts, business development, engineering, human resources, accounting, and compliance to effectively manage a breadth of responsibilities, including contract solicitations / capture, negotiations, and contract terms, including fulfillment of related obligations.
  • Serve as authorized, empowered representative for the Company as interface with Customer buying representatives responsible for building effective relationships and managing contracts to support business goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate solutions to contractual issues and Customer concerns related to Company performance.
  • Ensure contractual compliance with all laws and regulations, and adherence to Delegation of Authority and approval requirements for proposals and contractual actions.
  • Lead and support audits, as appropriate, with internal and external audit teams and agencies to support contract-related activities and verify compliance.
  • Ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations.
  • May plan and participate in training of contract practices within Company.
  • Collect contractual data and compiles reports in response to Corporate and Business Area requests.
