About The Position

Manages a portfolio of agreements and new requests, enabling the efficient and effective purchase of goods and services through the full Procure-to-Pay (PtP) process, with a focus on business value, on-time delivery, and cycle time. Works with moderate direction and possesses the skills and knowledge required for the position. This role may also be described as a Senior Procurement Associate, Senior Procurement Specialist, or Contracts Manager. In addition to Level I responsibilities, the Contracts Lead II may manage highly complex contracts or portfolios requiring deep business knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate contract pricing and terms and conditions directly with suppliers while partnering with internal stakeholders.
  • Seek the lowest total system cost while appropriately mitigating supply, commercial, and legal risks.
  • Execute Procure-to-Pay processes in full compliance with the Sourcing and Acquisition Handbook and CIMS (Controls Integrity Management System) catalogs.
  • Fully leverage procurement processes, systems, and tools to select the most effective procurement method.
  • Maintain an assigned agreement portfolio, including scope updates, pricing, exhibits, and amendments.
  • Ensure contract compliance and utilization.
  • Monitor supplier performance and troubleshoot performance, contractual, and transactional issues.
  • Improve the transactional efficiency of agreements by effectively leveraging procurement systems.
  • Identify business value, cost-saving opportunities, and other improvements within the portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external relationships to meet business-line expectations.
  • Recommend and implement fit-for-risk process improvements.
  • Influence the development of category strategies and implement strategic and commercial guidance.
  • Share portfolio-specific market intelligence with Category Networks.
