About The Position

This is a temporary employment recruitment reporting to the UCI Temporary Employment Services (TES) Department. The role involves executing core post-award transactions, generating and analyzing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, and providing general administrative support to the post-award team. The position is responsible for ensuring grant compliance and maintaining organized digital file archives. UC Irvine is a prestigious public university known for its academic achievement and premier research, located in a vibrant community in Orange County.

Requirements

Proven experience managing financial transactions within Contracts and Grants administration.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (downloading, sorting, formatting, and analyzing large financial datasets).
Strong transactional admin and data entry skills with high attention to detail and file organization.
Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English.
Must be able to provide proof of work authorization.

Nice To Haves

Hands-on experience using Kuali Financial System (KFS) and UCPath for institutional financial management.
Familiarity with UC system policies, payroll distribution reporting, and post-award compliance standards.

Responsibilities

Execute core post-award transactions, including submitting General Error Corrections (GECs) in KFS alongside Funding Entries (FEs) and Salary Cost Transfers (SCTs) in UCPath.
Generate and analyze Distribution of Payroll Expense (DOPE) reports for Research Performance Progress Reports (RPPRs) and Payroll Certification System (PCS) compliance.
Perform routine account reconciliations, pull monthly ledgers, and research and clear encumbrances to ensure grant compliance.
Maintain organized digital file archives, download and sort large datasets in Excel, and provide general administrative support to the post-award team.
