About The Position

This role ensures subcontracting strategies align with project goals and company policies. The specialist reviews and interprets prime contract requirements to ensure subcontract compliance. They manage and are responsible for the Small Business Program, including timely submission of Individual Subcontracting Reports (ISR) and Summary Subcontracting Reports (SSR). The role also involves periodic audits of business classification of suppliers and Sourcing processes, organizing outreach programs, and preparing performance reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university (or enrolled and in process of acquiring)
• 1+ years related experience and/or training…Contracts, Pricing, Suppliers, Sourcing, Purchasing, Supply Chain. Legal and/or Inside Sales.
• Ability to interface effectively with internal and external customers.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree (MS/MBA/JD) preferred.
• Experience in an Industry that deals Government Contracts…Aerospace, Military / Defense, or Energy is preferred.
• Relevant Aerospace & Defense industry experience and knowledge of FAR / DFARS preferred.
• Strong negotiation skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages and is responsible for the Small Business Program.
• Timely submits Individual Subcontracting Reports (ISR) and Summary Subcontracting Report (SSR) in accordance with the Small Business filing requirements
• Performs periodic audits on business classification of suppliers, and Sourcing processes and procedures to ensure compliance with the Small Business Program.
• Organizes and participates in outreach programs, supplier development events, and training sessions to promote small business opportunities.
• Prepares and presents reports on small business program performance to internal and external stakeholders.
