The Contracts Clerk is responsible for verifying costs and transactions for each vehicle sale, accurately and timely posting sales and unwinds, and ensuring compliance with regulations such as DMV, State of California, and BOE. This role also involves reconciling accounting schedules related to car sales, processing monetary instruments, and managing vehicle warranties and extended service contracts. Additionally, the Contracts Clerk will maintain the Heat Sheet (vehicle receivables), log returned contracts, update the flooring log and CIT Log, prepare overnight labels for CIT funding, process warranty cancellations, cut checks, and maintain filing systems. The position requires occasional overtime and performing other duties as assigned by the manager.
