Contractor, Creative Campaign Support

MSC CruisesMiami, FL

About The Position

The Creative Campaign Contractor will provide senior-level creative support for an upcoming ship reveal campaign. Working from an established campaign brief, business objectives, audience insights, and key messaging provided by the internal team, this individual will develop the overarching creative concept and creative expression that brings the campaign to life. This role will create the creative “wrapper” around the brief — defining the big idea, campaign concept, look and feel, copy, visual direction, and how the idea translates across social media, web, trade, email, and other campaign touchpoints. The ideal candidate is a senior Creative Director or creative lead with strong copywriting, design, or both, who can move between conceptual thinking and hands-on creative development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Design, Fine Arts, or a related field; or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 8+ years of relevant creative experience, ideally within an agency or consumer brand environment.
  • Experience at a Creative Director, Associate Creative Director, Senior Creative Lead, or comparable level.
  • Proven experience taking an established brief and developing a strong overarching campaign concept.
  • Experience developing integrated campaigns across social, digital/web, email, trade, and other channels.
  • Experience taking campaigns from concept through execution.
  • Experience presenting creative concepts to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating campaign-level creative thinking and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the Creative Concept: Translate an established brief into a compelling overarching creative idea. Develop the creative “wrapper” for the ship reveal campaign. Establish the campaign’s creative point of view, tone, personality, and look and feel. Develop creative territories and concepts that can flex across channels and executions. Present creative concepts to internal stakeholders and refine based on feedback. Ensure the campaign is distinctive, engaging, and aligned with the brand and audience.
  • Copy & Messaging: Develop campaign headlines, taglines, key messages, CTAs, and supporting copy. Establish the campaign’s creative voice and language. Create copy that builds excitement and anticipation around the ship reveal. Adapt the campaign messaging across social, web, email, trade, and other channels.
  • Creative Direction & Execution: Establish the overall visual direction and creative identity for the campaign. Develop mood boards, visual references, layouts, comps, and other materials to communicate the creative vision. Provide direction across imagery, photography, video, typography, color, and graphic elements. Develop and/or direct key campaign assets across social, web, email, trade, and other touchpoints. Ensure all executions ladder back to the overarching creative idea and feel like one cohesive campaign. Provide creative direction and feedback to designers, agencies, and other creative partners as needed.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with Social, Product, Marketing, Digital, Trade, and other internal teams. Work from the established campaign brief and incorporate business, product, audience, and channel requirements. Present creative concepts and work-in-progress to stakeholders. Collaborate with external agencies, designers, copywriters, photographers, videographers, and production partners as needed. Manage multiple creative deliverables and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
