The Contracting Project Specialist/Superintendent role is responsible for the execution of smaller turnkey projects, including managing subcontractors, administration, implementation, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role can also take the lead on specific tasks for larger projects with minimal oversight. The specialist will manage a portfolio of smaller projects, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Requirements

  • Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Project Management Degree; Combination of degree or 1-3 years of experience
  • Experience with Project Schedules / PM Construction Software
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and developing communication plans with both internal and external stakeholders to provide timely project updates.
  • Lead all aspects of project administration, including navigating requirements from governing agencies (state, city, county, federal, and local), proactively managing projects to business compliance, project documentation, and safety guidelines.
  • Validate project scope, cost, and schedule by reviewing contract documents, holding internal meetings, and establishing customer expectations.
  • Utilize properly qualified subcontractors, award subcontracts, manage subcontractor execution, and collaborate with subcontractors to establish communication guidelines for project progress, project meetings, billing expectations, and project safety.
  • Financially manage aspects of projects, including according to forecasted cost/revenue, forecasted cost at completion, monitoring expenses, collections support, applied cost, and oversee preparation and communications for monthly backlog review with leaders.
