This position involves the negotiation and management of complex research-related contracts and agreements. The Contracting Officer will review, evaluate, and interpret federal, industry, and foreign contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and data use agreements. They will ensure compliance with University policies, governmental regulations, and sponsor requirements, including areas such as Conflict of Interest, Export Control, Intellectual Property, and Cost Principles. The role requires coordination with various University experts and offices, maintaining knowledge of electronic research administration systems, and managing award files in UFIRST. Additionally, the Officer will act as a liaison between faculty, administrators, and sponsors, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to policy development and process improvements.
