About The Position

The Contracting Administrator role is responsible for maintaining service levels for advisors by efficiently facilitating their contracting with insurers. This involves resolving issues related to advisor licensing and investigating and resolving inquiries related to contracting and commissions, including matters involving bonus commission rates. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years’ contracting experience with an existing Managing General Agency or similar work environment.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Proven accuracy, attention to detail, and data entry skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships and work within a team environment.
  • Ability to represent self, office, and organization in a professional and positive manner at all times.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
  • Industry designation(s) (FLMI, ACS, AIAA) desirable.
  • Knowledge of WealthServ, APEXA is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the completion of advisor contracting and block transfers, including buy-ins and business consolidation, with insurance carriers.
  • Communicate with advisors and ensure they are regularly updated on status.
  • Assume ownership of assigned files and the quality of data, identifying urgencies and assisting in the resolution of issues that may prevent a file from progressing.
  • Review advisor contracts for accuracy and communicate with advisors regarding any outstanding requirements.
  • Onboard and screen advisors through the APEXA system, communicating any compliance issues until completion and approval of their contract with PPI.
  • Work within the APEXA system to facilitate advisor contracting and transfers.
  • Assist advisors with provincial licensing and sponsorship requests.
  • Anticipate advisor needs and follow established processes to inform advisors of important contracting-related details.
  • Investigate and facilitate the resolution of inquiries and/or issues related to advisor contracting, licensing, and commission overrides, including communicating with insurance carriers, advisors, and appropriate departments within PPI.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed according to PPI guidelines and standards.
  • Work with the Team Leader and the team Manager/Director to effectively achieve department goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrate behaviors that reflect and align with PPI’s ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) commitments.
  • Perform additional responsibilities, duties, and special projects as required.
