The Mid-Level Contract Support Specialist shall provide comprehensive acquisition support throughout the Federal acquisition lifecycle, including pre-award and post-award activities. This role involves conducting research and analysis of technical, acquisition, cost, and pricing information to support procurement and Contracting Officer decision-making. The specialist will research, review, interpret, and apply Federal acquisition policies, regulations, directives, guidance, and procedures, including the FAR and VAAR. Responsibilities include reviewing and assisting in developing acquisition requirements and procurement documentation, providing acquisition and business advice to various stakeholders, and analyzing and assisting with the development of Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs). The role also requires collaboration with technical experts and Contracting Officers to ensure project milestones and deliverables are accurately reflected in contractual documents, and supporting the planning, execution, and maintenance of acquisition plans and strategies. Additionally, the specialist will assist in preparing cost-benefit analyses, evaluating pricing and cost data, and supporting Contracting Officers in contract modifications, change orders, and administration.
