About The Position

ITnova is seeking a qualified Contract Support Specialist to support the preparation, coordination, and quality control of construction and maintenance contract documents for multidisciplinary engineering projects. This role works closely with engineering, project management, and legal teams to ensure contract books are accurate, compliant, and aligned with project scope, Authority standards, and bid quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
  • Ability to pass a Secure Worker Access Consortium (SWAC) high-level background screening and comply with Authority information security policies.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience preparing, reviewing, and delivering multidisciplinary A/E construction contract documents, including administrative and technical specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn required tools such as Bluebeam Revu and SharePoint-based systems.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently with guidance and resolve contractual issues.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) document organization; CSI certifications (CDT, CCS, CCCA) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare complete contract books (project manuals) containing administrative and technical requirements for construction and maintenance contracts.
  • Coordinate project scope with Engineering Design disciplines to ensure accurate, compliant inclusion of requirements in contract documents in accordance with Authority procedures and QA/QC standards.
  • Provide contractual guidance and review support to Project Principals, Engineers of Projects, and Project Managers to improve coordination and bid quality.
  • Advise on appropriate contract types (lump sum, unit price, combination) and develop project-specific payment provisions.
  • Develop soft cost budgets for Contracts Unit activities and manage workload within schedule and budget constraints.
  • Assist project teams in developing staging plans, milestone requirements, work hours, and special contract conditions.
  • Resolve contractual and technical issues with Engineering staff and other departments and coordinate with the Law Department on contracts with unique requirements.
  • Manage agency-wide review and distribution of contract documents using tools such as Bluebeam Revu and SharePoint applications.
  • Support the bid process by responding to bidder questions, guiding proper procedures, and assisting in preparation and issuance of Addenda.
  • Post-award, conform contract books, drawings, and related documents using established Authority processes and systems.
