As our brand continues to scale, the volume and complexity of our photography has grown significantly — from seasonal campaigns and product launches to high-performing ecommerce and performance creative. We’re bringing on a Contract Senior Photo Art Director to be a part of the next evolution of the Ruggable brand across our photo ecosystem. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can operate independently, lead on-set with authority, and partner cross-functionally to translate brand strategy into world-class execution.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of photo art direction experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-volume ecommerce and lifestyle campaigns
  • A portfolio that reflects strong taste, restraint, and consistency
  • Experience working in a DTC or fast-paced brand environment
  • Ability to balance scalable production with brand elevation
  • Clear, confident on-set leadership presence
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Based in Los Angeles and comfortable directing on set

Responsibilities

  • Lead art direction for select campaigns, launches, and high-priority shoots
  • Develop strong visual POVs grounded in brand strategy and product storytelling
  • Direct studio and location shoots with confidence and clarity
  • Elevate composition, lighting, casting, styling, and spatial storytelling
  • Partner with Performance and Growth to ensure assets support conversion
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Styling, Merchandising, and Copy
  • Drive post-production feedback and final asset quality
  • Help refine and strengthen our evolving visual standards
