Position Overview Circuit Clinical is seeking a Contract Research Assistant to support clinical trial operations by assisting Research Coordinators with study protocol visits and related operational tasks. This is a contract-based role, not an employee position. The Research Assistant will provide services on an as-needed basis while maintaining autonomy over how services are performed. The Research Assistant will collaborate closely with Research Coordinators and the Clinical Operations team and will report operationally to the VP, Site Operations for study-related coordination.
Requirements
- High School diploma required
- Prior clinical research, laboratory, and phlebotomy experience required
- Experience using EMR systems preferred
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain high attention to detail required
Responsibilities
- Conducting study procedures, as directed by the Research Coordinators, including: measuring vital signs, performing ECGs, phlebotomy and sample collection.
- Collecting, processing, storing, and shipping laboratory specimens per protocol.
- Generating and maintaining accurate laboratory and study-related logs
- Preparing for study visit by gathering source and essential documents, preparing lab kits, and securing required materials.
- Accurately documenting visit data in electronic data capture systems
- Supporting participant recruitment efforts, including contacting and screening potentially eligible participants.
- Conducting patient recruitment outreach.
