About The Position

This opportunity involves managing classified contract programs and overseeing the day-to-day operations of a Special Access Program Facility (SAPF). The role provides support in clearance processing, visit certifications, document control, and physical security, including alarm response for controlled areas associated with special access programs. The officer will conduct highly sensitive security briefings, coordinate all security education programs, and act as a primary liaison with upper management and outside agencies. Additionally, the position requires managing a staff of security professionals, fostering their career growth and development, and interacting with internal and external clients or government security officials to perform security duties, address routine personnel security matters, prepare reports, and conduct program security access briefings.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO), Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO), or in a security role managing security operations
  • Experience with managing security requirements for SCI and SAP programs
  • Knowledge of document control, physical security, or security education and training
  • Ability to provide leadership, work with a varied team and upper management, and ensure compliance with security directives
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Associate’s degree

  • Experience with using Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), DoD Directives
  • Knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives
  • Knowledge of SCIF and SAPF processes and procedures
  • Ability to display a flexible, self‑driven outlook while adapting to evolving priorities
  • Ability to serve as a career manager and manage staff time and work assignments
  • Completion of FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities course
