Requirements

  • BA/BS degree (preferably in Supply Chain, Business, or a technical field)
  • 5+ years of experience in the pharma industry, clinical supply chain, or contract manufacturing.
  • Proven expertise in project management (APICS, PMP, or Lean/Six Sigma certifications are a plus)
  • Track record of driving complex initiatives independently with sound judgment.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on proficiency in SAP/ERP systems and a strong eye for detail.
  • Excellent cross-cultural collaboration skills, demonstrating high emotional intelligence and social competence when collaborating with global partners across different time zones.
  • Strong business acumen to negotiate agreements, build trusting relationships with suppliers, and align internal stakeholder priorities toward organizational goals.
  • Articulate, professional communicator across all corporate levels, with fluent Business English skills (German is a plus).
  • Flexibility required to seamlessly collaborate across international time zones (e.g., US, Europe, Asia).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Site Manager overseeing clinical drug labeling, packaging, and device assembly outsourced across our international network of Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs).
  • Proactively manage CMO onboarding, communication, and project timelines to ensure predictable, on-time delivery while maintaining strict cost and quality standards.
  • Partner with Procurement to run Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Statements of Work (SOWs), negotiate supply agreements, and lead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activities.
  • Collaborate with leadership to define specialized supply strategies for non-standard products and own the variable cost budgeting process for CMO projects.
  • Manage pre- and post-production packaging orders in the ERP system, issue Purchase Orders, review and approve invoices, and ensure full alignment in SAP.
  • Define, monitor, and report key CMO performance metrics while representing the clinical packaging function in global cross-functional processes like CD&OP.
  • Work closely with CMO partners to ensure long-term production capacity, alignment on operational expectations, and cross-functional synergy with internal Roche teams.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to identify efficiency opportunities, drive digital/process innovations, and solve complex supply chain challenges.
