About The Position

The Contract Manager (CM) shall be responsible for the performance of the work. The CM or alternate shall have full authority to act for the contractor on all contract matters relating to daily operation of this contract. This role requires a strong understanding of tactical air operations, composite force employment, electronic warfare, and various combat aircraft systems and weapons. The position also involves managing a team of 12+ personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, or Science is desired.
  • Five (5) years military aircrew member experience.
  • Highly developed organizational, planning and management writing skills.
  • Oral communication skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Ability to schedule workflow, prioritize, delegate, meet deadlines, and be multi-task oriented.
  • Proficient in performing office automation duties on government information systems using current software platforms such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Must possess and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Thorough knowledge of tactical air operations, including roles, missions, tactics, and aircrew terminology.
  • Knowledge of specific mission areas such as counter-air, counter-land, counter-information strategic attack, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR), command and control (C2), etc., and how these mission areas relate to each other.
  • General knowledge of composite force employment procedures and tactics.
  • Comprehensive understanding of EW, tactical ranges, threat simulators and target scoring systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of combat aircraft systems and their use in counter-air, counter-land, and counter-information missions.
  • Working knowledge (technology, capability, systems, limitations, etc.) of combat aircraft and weapons used in combat air operations by U.S., Allied, and Coalition forces.
  • Knowledge of U.S., Allied, and threat surface-to-air and air-to-air weapons, their employment tactics and capabilities.
  • Good overall command of the English language.
  • Knowledge of formatting and style used in technical reports.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the performance of the work.
  • Designate an alternate with similar qualifications to act for the contractor when the manager is absent.
  • Have full authority to act for the contractor on all contract matters relating to daily operation of this contract.
  • Manage a team of 12+ personnel.
