About The Position

The Contracts Lead will support procurement for logistics services across Equinor’s Seismic, Exploration, Production Drilling, and FPSO Operations. Key responsibilities include developing procurement strategies, conducting market analysis, managing procurement processes to secure Framework Agreements, creating KPIs, monitoring contract performance, and assisting with the requisition-to-pay process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Public Policy, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in a procurement / supply chain role.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic self-starter capable and willing to learn and apply Equinor processes and policies.
  • Ability to manage large workload with numerous demands occurring at the same time.
  • Strong initiative, drive to make decisions when required.
  • Proficient SAP experience or equivalent ERP system experience, contract management software and Office 365.
  • Strong analytical abilities, with experience in dealing with service and consultancy contracts as well as purchase of goods/materials.
  • Work experience directly supporting exploration drilling and logistics in the offshore Newfoundland and Labrador region.
  • Solid understanding of Atlantic Accord legislation and requirements.
  • Strong communication skills – verbal and written both internally and externally, as well as a detail-oriented profile.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous use of WELS Operator Logistics Tool considered an asset.
  • Well-rounded business acumen with high standards, business ethics, in line with Equinor’s values.

Responsibilities

  • Development of procurement and contracting strategies for multiple business areas with a short-term focus on logistics related agreements.
  • Bid preparation, including clarifications, analysis, negotiations and recommendations.
  • Working in cross-functional teams with various business units to represent commercial requirements.
  • Understanding and management of HSE pre-qualification.
  • Development and monitoring of KPIs and supplier performance management.
  • Liaise with Suppliers to ensure responsibilities regarding Canada-Newfoundland Benefits reporting are met.
  • Work with joint venture partners and other local operators on joint initiatives.
  • Ad hoc purchase of services, goods and/or materials to the Bay du Nord project team, as required.
  • Participate in the emergency response team (24/7 callout) as required.
  • Apply and assure compliance with Equinor and Regulatory requirements within area of responsibility (example: Equinor’s procurement process and procedures, and Canadian laws and requirements).
  • Provide support to Drilling Supply Responsible as required.
